OLED Screen
The higher-margin programme, for handsets that originally shipped with an emissive panel and cannot take an LCD replacement without a visible colour shift. It has a wider colour gamut than the LCD line and holds colour to 178 degrees off-axis.

Inspections
Per unit, before packing.
As published on the retail packaging and in the brand book. Colour coverage is stated as a floor, not a typical value.
Construction
What is in the assembly.
The same seven-layer construction carries both programmes. Four layers are specified by supplier rather than by tolerance, which is what fixes the cost floor.

Validation
78 inspections per unit, and six rigs behind them.
Filmed by the factory. The two most relevant to this line are below; the rest are on the quality page.
Impact
Qualifies the lamination bond, not the glass. A cell that delaminates under shock was bonded wrong.
Immersion
Tests the adhesive perimeter as a sealed system. It is the hardest thing to get right at volume and the first thing a cheap line drops.
Ships as
37 g iron box
A drawn steel tin replacing a moulded tray in a carton. It protects the assembly identically and weighs a fraction of it. On a category where freight is a material share of landed cost, halving it is a margin decision taken at the packaging line.
